Electrical work may be carried out in difficult conditions, including in wet weather conditions, confined spaces and in atmospheres that present a risk to health and safety from fire or explosion. The risk assessment should also consider how and where the electrical work is carried out. Electricity is particularly hazardous because electrical currents are not visible and do not have any smell or sound. Risks associated with electrical work may arise from the properties of electricity.
